I have lived a summer in Thailand (Bangkok and Chiang Mai) so I can pretty securely say I am familiar with Thai street food. This place is really good and tastes authentic. My wife and I were hungry after looking at apartments in the area and this place was perfect! I ordered the drunken noodles and chicken wings with Thai chili spice. Our friend ordered the Ka Pow and Coconut Ice Cream. Both were amazing! And we loved the great and attentive service! Also the way this restaurant is decorated is well done and it has a beautiful mural on the wall. We will be back again!

Feedback welcome. I will also post the pictures. Had lunch at Gai by Thai Monkey yesterday and it was amazing. I knew the second I walked into the restaurant that it was going to be great. The decor is done in a very tranquil, blue color and you will feel relaxed and ready for a wonderful experience as soon as you walk in the door. We started with Chicken Gyoza and Chicken Satay for apps, and then split Khao Man Gai (#1) and Kua Gai noodles (#8). Gai means chicken and that’s what they specialize in and every dish we had was outstanding. We tried two different types of desserts; sweet rice with mango and roti with tea mousse.   The tea mouse is not on the menu but ask the GM - Ploy, for it and she will gladly accommodate you. I also had Thai tea.   I hesitated to order it because it can sometimes be a little sweet. Ploy suggested I mix it with unsweetened tea.  I trusted her recommendation and it something I will order again and again. Mixing it is a great option for those who don’t like their drinks too sweet like me or those who are watching their sugars. I strongly recommend this restaurant.  The staff was great, the ambience was great and the food was great. I will definitely be returning and definitely trying some of the other options, Kao Soi (#10) being the one I will be trying next.

Tastefully decorated restaurant with very friendly staff. The food here is good. I ordered the the Drunken Noodle and it was very flavorful. The noodles were tender and stir-fried well. The beef and vegetables were not overcooked. However, the spice levels are a bit off. I ordered a Level 5 expecting the breathe fire, but I was wanting more spice. Next time I will ask for additional chili powder. Overall, a great experience! I will be back to try their other dishes.

I had a great experience. The most liked dish for me were the spring rolls - they were very good and crispy with flavor. I highly recommend trying them if you are a vegetarian. However, the chicken fried rice was okay. While it wasn't terrible, it didn't quite live up to my expectations. I didn't feel it spicy enough. With addition of sauces on side it felt good. That being said, its a cute restaurant with friendly staff. Overall, I would definitely recommend it!

Pretty good Thai food. Pad gra pao is good and affordable. Inside nice chill Thai jazz music. As a Thai, I'd say it's pretty good.

Google has the menu wrong. There were quite a few missing items we were looking forward to trying. What we did get was amazing those, some of the best Thai food in dfw. The Thai tea was amazing and the pad Thai was incredible. Overall I highly recommend!

If you love Thai food, you gotta check this place out! This Thai spot is seriously so good! The flavors are super authentic—just like home. I tried the Pad Kra Pao, Khao Man Gai, and Khao Soi… all were so tasty. Everything’s cooked just right and full of flavor. The place is clean, comfy, and the staff is really friendly too. If you’re around the area, don’t miss it. Totally worth it!

I recently visited Gai by Thai Monkey and was truly impressed! The restaurant specializes in chicken dishes, so it’s a perfect spot for chicken lovers. I tried the Hainanese Chicken Rice, Khao Soi Chicken, Chicken Dumplings, and Stir-Fried Noodles with Chicken — everything was delicious! My absolute favorites were the Chicken Dumplings and the Stir-Fried Noodles. The dumplings were juicy and flavorful — so good that you don’t even need dipping sauce. The stir-fried noodles were smoky, tender, and packed with perfectly marinated chicken. The atmosphere was cozy, the service was great, and the food came out quickly. Prices were reasonable too. If you love chicken dishes, I highly recommend this place — you won’t be disappointed!
